They say a week is a long time in politics, Boris Johnson has been in post as our our new PM for over a month now. This represents an opportunity not just for our party but the whole nation. The last three years have not gone well for either our party or any party for that matter and especially the nation. It is wrong to blame Brexit for this as the fault lies with those who have stood in the way of the result of the 2016 referendum. Whatever, the fact is things have changed. The PM has authorised spending on a NO Deal outcome. Dominic Cummings who was a vital part of VOTE LEAVE alongside our PM and Gisela Stuart, has been included in the No10 Downing Street team. This is ideal. The PM's workload is formidable. The outstanding tasks, not just leaving the EU, must be done as soon as possible so to catch up and move on. Some of the opposition he faces still comes from within our party from people who wish to convert the 2016 referendum result to include the terms they think the public voted for. This is delusional and anti-democratic. The public voted to leave the EU, the trumped up notions of this being dependent on other factors is false. We must support the new PM in his efforts to get the UK out of the EU by October 31st as promised. If this does not happen then the future of our party is bleak. But then so is the democratic health of a nation. However, to end on an upbeat note No10 also has a new pet, a puppy called Dilyn. More on that story later!
